In 1994 Beaches began as home based company, marketing and selling tanning products to salons in Montana and Wyoming. In 1996 Beaches added hair care and miscellaneous sundries to their product mix with Lanza being their #1 line. To facilitate the increased growth Beaches moved their operations to a warehouse/ office location in Billings, Montana.  In 2000 Redken was added to the product mix and an outlet store was opened in Missoula, to better serve its growing customer base in western Montana.

In 2003 Beaches joined the State Beauty Supply family and was purchased by Cal Fuss. Cal started in the industry over 30 years ago as a distributor owner/salon consultant.  Beaches is the fourth beauty distributor that Cal has successfully owned and operated.

2003 was a big year for Beaches when they moved the corporate offices and warehouse operations to Missoula, MT., and also computerized the entire operation for the first time in the history of the company. In the summer of 2005 a new store was opened in Bozeman.

Today Beaches is a full service professional beauty supply with a minor in tanning products. Beaches offers outlet stores in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Kalispell, and Missoula, Montana, that service only the salon professional. The Beaches sales force consists of six outside sales consultants, that service salons throughout Montana and a portion of Wyoming.
